Paddington, 9.33am & 8.20pm HBO Family BEST FILM OF THE DAY. Watch this if you liked Babe, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, or The Adventures of Milo and Otis. There are pure-kiddie movies – such as Finding Nemo, Up and The Incredibles
– that are so good, grownups might like them; and there are other
“kiddie” films that are really grown up films kids can also enjoy, like
the Shrek and Toy Story films. Paddington
may be the best of the latter lot so far made, at least for West
Indians who have left home: with frequent soundtrack appearances by a
live calypso band (featuring lead vocals by Tobago Crusoe) singing
kaisos by Lord Kitchener – London is the Place for Me, most aptly – Paddington is

And, with luck and a hard drive and a hub for the old USB port, the regular BC on TV format is back! The BEST FILM OF THE DAY **Groundhog Day, 1.08pm ISat) wasn’t picked was because it was picked fairly recently.
Today’s Number One Film:
Mad Max: Fury Road, 5.08pm HBO2. Watch this if you liked any of the other Mad Max, Terminator or Star Wars movies. The Mad Max film franchise may be the best of them all and is certainly the one that has improved the most.
The best of the DIRECTV primetime lineup
If it started within BC on TV’s 6pm-10pm primetime, Malcolm McDowell’s greatest role in Stanley Kubrick’s magnum opus would have got the nod (**A Clockwork Orange BEST FILM OF THE DAY, 10.30pm Max). For those who might be open to admitting that there might just be more to music than is contained in soca and dancehall, the DIRECTV channel offers opera star Placido Domingo (9pm) followed by the world’s most successful living guitarist (Eric Clapton: Slowhand at 70, 11pm).
Today’s Number One Film:
*The Hangover, 7.15pm HBO Plus. Watch this if you liked Desperado, Pineapple Express or Fight Club. As action-packed as Zombieland, as off the wall as Pineapple Express and with a script as intelligent and almost as funny as The 40-Year-Old Virgin, this could be the best road trip film since Sideways.
